Check out http://www.1and1.com?k_id=3794345 and look at their "1&1 Home" MS Hosting package. For $4.99 a month you get:
- 2 free domain names (and purchase as many extra as you want)
- 120GB of Webspace
- 1,200GB monthly traffic
- $25 worth of advertising on Google AdWords
- Free software, including "Netobjects Fusion8" (latest version retails at $199 USD)
- 99.99% Uptime guarantee
- Servers located in a 55,000 square foot data center (space for 40,000 webservers) in Kansas, with 20GBit connectivity
……… and much more
If you want to use SSI (Server side includes), you'll have to upgrade to the $9.99 a month "1&1 Business" package
Hmm, well I'm a newbie at this myself too, but hopefully I can help:
bandwidth is the amount of space that you are allowed to have per month…. so if you are expecting a lot of traffic, or need a lot of room (for example if you are hosting pictures) the more bandwidth you'll want!
the hosting sounds fine to me.
I doubt you'll need unlimited e-mail, unless if you are going to save all of your e-mails, expect a lot (like if you're managing a business) or if they all will have large attachments. Also 10 boxes is a bit much, unless if you are going to have multiple people managing your website (like webmaster@site.com and help@site.com and affiliates@site.com … that's what it means when it says 10 boxes, 10 different addresses).
well ,after studying your requirements i would say..
http://www.godaddy.com is the best for your need.
You can have free parking if you buy a domain name from them.
But..i would suggest not to go for free parking if you need better google n yahoo credits.

When a web hosting company asks you if you want Linux or Windows, what they are asking is do you want the server that your site will be hosted on to be running Windows or Linux. The biggest difference between the 2 is that Windows has some of scripting features that Linux does not and the other way around, Linux has some scripting features that Windows does not. You are pretty much better off just going with the cheaper of the 2. If they are both the same price then its your choice. I usually stick with Linux when given the choice.
If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months' time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
I would like to suggest following webhosting , they are excellent.
They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 200000 MB (200 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.
Visit the site to check details.
Linux is better of course. Wordpress is a PHP/MySQL open source app. Linux is it's native environment.
If you've decided to get hosting from Godaddy, don't buy your domain upfront. Buy it with hosting so that you can get it for $1.99 instead of like $10. You can get 20% discount on any Godaddy plan. More info at: http://www.hosttell.com
P.S. The Economy plan you mentioned offers hosting of just one domain, so it means that you can host just one site on it. If you want to have more websites you have to get a new hosting plan. If you choose the Deluxe hosting, you can host unlimited websites on the same plan (at no additional cost, just the cost of additional domain name). But if you're sure you won't need to host another site, the Economy plan is fine. If you still haven't decided on hosting I recommend Powweb. They have the best offer right now (a 50% sale – $3.88/month – $46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them. (They also offer hosting of unlimited domains) They include easy, one click install of Wordpress from their control panel, so you don't have to do it manually.

Did you use metatags with some keywords? that really helps. Besides, Yahoo can take up to a week to process your web site.
Try also adding your site to the open directory since many web sites use it as a reference:

Domains
Following site is quite good to register domains as price is reasonable with free privacy. Some charge about $5/ year just for free privacy.

Yes it will work on decent settings. That video card probably won't play anything much more graphically intense though

Here are some helpful links:
First you need to know how to write the connection strings using ADO.
http://www.carlprothman.net/Default.aspx?tabid=81
Then you need to connect to your database either via ASP, which is what I prefer.
ASP Link: http://www.asp101.com
Or using PHP and the proper item for your database you can connect that way too. PHP has some good information on this.

There is a manual available at:
